Online Security
Security is a primary concern with Internet Banking. First National Bank realizes and appreciates the trust and confidence you have placed in us. Our online banking service provider, NetTeller, and we have worked diligently to assure that your privacy is safeguarded. We have taken several steps to ensure your online security, including:
All of our internet servers use firewalls, data encryption and virus protection to protect your personal information, and all transmissions are encrypted. New technologies are constantly being researched and incorporated into our safety measures.
Account numbers are not displayed over the Internet. You may choose your own personal descriptive name to identify each of your accounts.
Every user of NetTeller has a unique ID and PIN. If an incorrect PIN is entered 3 consecutive times, the account will be locked, and you must call the Bank to have the PIN reset.
If you are logged in to NetTeller, but do not perform any activity for 10 minutes, you will be automatically logged off, and will need to re-enter your ID and PIN to reconnect.
There are several steps that you can also take to ensure the security and privacy of your personal information:
Always use 128-bit SSL encryption in either Microsoft Internet Explorer or in Netscape Navigator.
Keep your ID and PIN number confidential. Change it frequently.
Do not leave your computer unattended while logged into NetTeller and log off your session before visiting other websites. Close your browser when you are done with your online banking session.
Report any suspicious activity to the Bank or law enforcement officials immediately.
